I’m a UX designer and a coach, and in both roles I start the same way: I listen, ask questions, and work with what emerges.

What I stand for

Curiosity, both ways. Everybody wants to be heard and understood; not everybody wants to hear and understand. I want both, and my curiosity is what gets me there.

Honesty, in words and in deeds. I say what I notice, in plain words, even when it’s uncomfortable. And I say what I do, and do what I say.

The planet needs our attention. Active attention: that’s why I don’t fly, I eat vegetarian, I buy local, and I’m mindful of what I invest in.

Technology, with eyes open. AI is here to stay, and it brings tremendous value in many areas. I use it pragmatically, and keep a close eye on how it develops, because looking away would be dangerous. The same goes for my attention: I left most social media to decide for myself what deserves it.

Learning and sharing. Almost 20 years into my career, I’m back in training and in supervision. And what I learn is meant to be shared: through talks, communities and teaching.

Play, and say yes. Improv taught me to build on what’s offered rather than block it, and to take the work seriously without taking myself too seriously.

My journey

My path has taken many turns.

Computer engineering taught me to think in systems. Event management, to deliver when the deadline can’t move.

Since 2007, I’ve been a UX designer and strategist, today as part of the :ratio team. UX strategy and research taught me to listen closely and understand what needs attention. Along the way, I started crafting tools for designers, beginning with Gimbalst.

I organise conferences and build communities, to make Interaction Design matter in Europe: international Interaction conferences, UX Lausanne, IxDA Europe, UX romandie and IxDA Lyon. I teach UX design to master students and sit on their juries. More on my designer page.

I perform improv theater, and it shapes how I coach. You can see me on stage.

And now coaching and mentoring, bringing all of this together. I’m currently completing a Swiss-certified coaching program at b-come.
